Comeback, Part 103.
Yup, it's me. Really, really me.
No, I've not been abducted by aliens nor have I been sent abroad on a secret intelligence mission (albeit, that would be cool given that James Bond is such a hot topic now - congrats to Daniel Craig, BIG shoes to fill for the ultrakewl spy most of us Gen X/Yers have come to known by the likes of "Sir" Pierce Brosnan.)
All's been good on the forefront. First off, a major apology for the cybercrew that's been expecting the ever-delayed Go! podcast. We're now veering on the world of videocasts thanks to the uhm, interesting - for lack of a better word -, integration of video feeds and playback on iPods. Apple geeks (that is, I) rejoice! As if .99 wasn't on your plate of joy to dish out for every track you want to download, you can now spend twice as much for a goshdarn music video. Keep your fingers crossed, Mac people.
What has been going on with Go!, you ask? Good question. I will adress that matter first as it's been one that's been on my mind for the last few months. Believe it or not, the music cuts of choice have already been processed and edited to better the chances of copyright favouring the proposed feed. If you haven't noticed, most podcasts are exclusively talk, given the copyright restrictions that lie behind the inclusion of the work of millions of artists, composers, and musicians worldwide. Duly noted and true, it is important to fight piracy and support the music industry through legal downloading and my favorite activity, the purchase of CDs and other forms of recorded music.
I'm currently exploring formats that will allow Go! to, well, go forward as proposed and serve as an international mainstream music promotion forum, bringing you the world's most amazing new tracks from stand-out artists, both old and new, known and unknown. That's what this blog's intention was fairly much and now it's time to take control back.
You can count on djchaco to keep up the music update tasks - and I'll never let you down on that. There's so much great music to keep your ears feasting on for quite some time. My next posts will feature the lists of great tracks to listen to, featuring both my October and November hit playlists - which will certainly give you a great indicator of what cool new hits you'll probably be hearing on the forthcoming podcasts.
So, generally speaking... I'm ok. I'm alive. And I'm coming back for more.
Out.
