It's All About Bert.

Hey all!

Sometimes you can't really express all you've thought about, and then it comes time to... you just can't. Not that you don't want to, but you just feel that it's not possible. Well, to some extent at least.

So, here's a recollection in no particular order of what's crossed my mind deliberately (or not) and just stuck there, recurrent and kinda like the "old in-out"... coming and going.

Here we go with a list of thoughts:

1) Sarah Jessica Parker's "Pretty Khaki" Gap ad. How fantastic and bubbly is that? Definitely a runaway smash for both affordable style and prominent branding. Simply irresistible, worthy of stopping cold on your tracks for 30 seconds of joy, music, dance and pretty in pink choreography.

2) Is The Rock gay? Comments hinted and an awkward silence following his comments on his latest character's gay lifestyle becoming something he could "relate to in many ways" really makes you think. Gay or not, The Rock rocks!

3) American Idol's renaissance, post-Vasquez. So Mario left. Personal reasons or not, that certainly gave them lots of word-of-mouth and smart downplaying the issue made that situation up the ratings to bring in over 30 million votes last night in a 2 hour period! Blimey! For once, "Seacrest, out" seems to be doin' the job right. Nix on Tuesday night's singing, dibs on Wednesday's voting out... suspenseful to the end... and then...

4) Paris&Nicole at the zoo. These interns got their work cut out for them, working one-on-one with animals at the Baltimore Zoo. Priceless moment: the girls teasing 2 elderly women about the polar bears, introducing the white, furry animals as hermaphrodite homosexuals, then scaring away the women and drawing a parallel between the latters' white hair and that of the bears'.

5) Lime Green Tea Diet Snapple. Far and away, the best-tasting, low-cost drink in the world. It's light, refreshing, sweet, no-cal/no-carb, satisfying... one of the best products out there today. That and Le Petit Ecolier cookies by french maestros Lu. Also runners for the best cookie in the world. Wanna go more mainstream? Pepperidge Farms make some mean Milano cookies, sold most everywhere. Worth your extra pennies.

6) Blackberry technology. Life-changing, easy-to-use, practical. Can life be any easier with a go-anywhere e-mail on-the-go system and an intuitive web browser? Not really. Doubles as an excellent Palm-Pilot style gadget cell phone that is not bulky or heavy. Fantastic, my pick for the invention of the year.

7) iTunes Music Store Free Download Of The Week. Be sure to sign up and check out the free track of the week. They've got some real kickers, such as tobymac's "Gone", actually Carson Daly's pick for hot song of the moment. Smart man, that he is. And don't forget to drink Pepsi compulsively (or Diet, to nix the carbs and everything else) to twist off the caps and win free iTunes downloads.

8) The Bert Show on Q100 in Atlanta. Best damn morning show, hands down. Funny, irreverent, interesting, interactive. And smart. From topics such as "Who's the weirdest person who's ever given you sex advice?" (answers range from little brothers to awkward grandma sexbombs) to "Dare you can't find a 2-word combination that draws less than 10,000 finds on Google", the show is captivating in an odd way, as few things in this life can be. No wonder Bert and company are quick-becoming radio staples nationwide. Here's to many more years of these guys making our lifes happier, pacing along to the beat of their sharp-wit, super-personal approach to seeing life's little details and really gettin' to us. We love you guys. Never heard them? We must remedy that at once. Check 'em out now!

That's kinda it for now.

I promise to keep on thinking.

For now, enjoy The Bert Show and other good things that make life a happier experience.

I'm Outie,
